Getting "The Shaft"

Usually, the term getting the shaft deals more with a negative situation; getting blown off by friends, having someone go back on their word, getting shortchanged at the store, having a trip canceled at the last minute; all of which are situations I'm familiar with, but to have gotten this autographed photo from Isaac Hayes famous for the Theme from Shaft in the mail was definitely a more postive version of that term! Even at 7am, my dirty little mind could thing of yet another meaning for "getting the shaft" but I just won't go there today :)
