Unexpected injuries
Doesn't it just totally suck, when there is something you totally want to do but can't because of injurying yourself. I ran a half-marathon in Monterrey, Mexico a few years ago, and was determined that I would finish. At about Mile 11, my legs started feeling like jell-o (no, I didn't train like I should have), and it caused me to mess up my back and a lot of pain for a long time after, so I'm having to nurse it. I really felt for Jim Lynch on Survivor. To get on the show, get an injury and get booted, especially when have the tribe was already sick and easy pickings, but it looked like Jim enjoyed the experience regardless and got that opportunity I've been trying to have for a long time now!
