A Class Act
I started collecting autographs when I was about 7 years old. It was a weird thing for me because I'm not really star struck. I just seem to be able to relate to people who have made a name for themselves in the entertainment or sports fields. Maybe its because they are living my dream, maybe because it keeps alive the possibility that I'll be able to live mine, but its really wonderful when soemone I've admired takes the time to personally write me a letter. Most of my letters to celebrities are both about myself and about them. So its not like I think they are better than me; I don't. I just find it interesting what they've been able to accomplish and guess in a way can relate to them. Dave Madden was like an imaginary dad for me when I was a kid. I never really bonded with my own, so I'd make fantasy ones from TV. So Mr. Ruben Kincaid was one of my fantasy dads. He sent me a signed folder he made and a personal letter which I found way cool.
